On a day he was convicted, Om Prakash Chautala learnt about his fate at the state GB Pant Super-specialty Hospital's cardiac care unit, where he is admitted since last week.

Chautala, and his son, apparently were glum on hearing of their conviction, said a jail source.

Doctors said tests are being performed on him to assess his medical condition, especially his heart.
