The court of the additional district and session judge Moga, Harpal Singh awarded rigorous imprisonment for life to Charanjit Singh for rapping a five year old girl child on Thursday. The police had registered a criminal case against accused Charanjit Singh of village Sosan in district Moga under Section 376 of Indian Panel Code on August 12, 20110 at sadar police station Moga.

According to police record a man of Sosan had complained to the senior superintendent of police that his 3-year-old daughter was gone to the shop for purchasing a match box.

"When my daughter did not return to home, I had started to search her and I was found that my daughter was crying at the home of accused. We had admitted her at hospital immediately and she revealed that Charanjit Singh was brought her his home and raped her," father was mentioned in his complaint.
