A day with apps
A new iPhone App is offering new parents answers to hundreds of questions about pregnancy, babies and childcare.

Nanny App, labelled a modern day Mary Poppins, covers questions from 'Is my baby warm enough?' to 'When will my baby's hair grow?', with a Panic Button Checklist works
through what could be wrong when all else fails, the Daily Mail reported.

It was created by a graduate from Norland College for nannies, named 'Nanny M', who has 15 years of invaluable baby-rearing experience.

"New parents often turn to websites and parenting forums which can be a real danger as they often contain incorrect information," the paper quoted Rachel Provest, co-founder of Nanny App, as saying.

"We created Nanny App to give parents quick and easy access to reliable, qualified advice from a classically trained nanny with experience caring for all types of families from Royalty to single parent families," Provest stated.

The app enables new parents to instantly access a large database of parenting advice, with answers to over 800 questions about pregnancy and the health, safety and development of infants and toddlers.

Broken down in categories like Newborn Baby, Feeding, Sleeping, Bathing, Health 'n' Safety, Nappies, Travel, Activities and Play, and Behavior 'n' Development, the app's content is preloaded, so it works without Internet connectivity.

Parents can also submit specific questions to Nanny M via email, receiving an answer within 24 hours.

Nanny App is available in the App Store for 4.99 dollars.
