Air France's customers will be able to discover a new offer dubbed "Economy" as soon as next year, according to the magazine Challenges. Air France CEO Alexandre de Juniac is to unveil the new offer January 7.

The French carrier is set to go head to head with other low cost airlines
in offering discounted fares for short and medium-haul flights, though travelers will need to renounce perks such as checked luggage, flexible ticketing and frequent flyer miles.
All-inclusive tickets will still be available at the current price of economy class seats to offer a larger choice to passengers.
