Children's author Anushka Ravishankar interacts with student

Award winning children's author and playwright Anushka Ravishankar interacted with the students of Spring Dale Senior School and bestowed on them insights about churning out thought-provoking literature and composing catchy stories during an interaction organised on the school premises on Tuesday in collaboration with One Up Library.

Ravishankar, who has more than 25 children's books to her credit, including Tiger on a Tree, Anything but a Grabooberry, Excuse Me, Is This India? And Today Is My Day, One, Two Tree!, To Market! To Market!, The Rumour, Catch That Crocodile!, Moin and The Monster, is an internationally acclaimed writer and specialises in nonsense verse.

 A mathematics graduate with an MA in English literature, she has been penning stories since childhood. Rajiv Kumar Sharma, principal, Spring Dale Senior School, said that the budding writers among the students of the school were immensely benefitted with the insights of Ravishankar.

 "She is known as the Dr Seuss of India. She has participated in as author, speaker and resource person, in many national and international publishing events and conferences, such as Les Belles Etrangeres in France, the Children's Book Tour in the UK, AFCC Singapore and Jumpstart and Bookaroo in India," he said.
