Kidnapped boy traced to Madhya Pradesh

The district Police claimed to have rescued the teenaged school boy who was kidnapped from Tarn Taran five days back.

12-year-old Mohit Dhawan was recovered from Madhya Pradesh after the police arrested the kidnapper, identified as Mandeep Singh alias munna, a former driver of the family.
 
Addressing mediapersons at a press conference, SSP Tarn Taran Rajjit Singh said, "Twelve-year-old boy Mohit Dhawan, a student of Class 6th at Adarsh School Baler was kidnapped on Thursday by Mandeep Singh alas Munna, a former driver of the family. The kidnapping was done when the boy was going to school."

SSP told that the accused was a resident of Wegepur village and was now employed as a driver of the vehicle that picked and dropped the students to the school.
 
He added that the accused has good relations with the victim's family and his father Pardip Dhawan purchased a four Marla residential land for him but after some time he took back the land from the accused as he had indulged in bad company.

The accused confessed that he kidnapped the boy as he was angry after the land was taken back from him.

The police, which had started probe ever since the boy went missing, made the arrest from Shimla Purl in Madhya Pradesh.
