Relative, his four accomplice sbooked on murder, rape charge

One Sucha Singh and his four accomplices have been booked by the Tarn Taran police allegedly for murdering a woman and confining her minor daughter for around 20 days and outraging her modesty.

The 14-year-old girl, who escaped from the confinement, told police: "Her mother, Sarabjit Kaur, and she were lured by their relative, Sucha Singh, who brought them to a farm house at Thathian Mahanta village of Tarn Taran district.

In her complaint to police, the girl alleged that the accused strangulated her mother in the night on May 24 and disposed off her body at some unknown place.

The girl claimed that Sucha kept her in confinement at the farmhouse for 22 days, and then took her to Bahia village in Ganganagar, Rajasthan, where he raped her repeatedly.

One day, she claimed, she managed to escape from the clutches of Sucha and narrated entire incident to the Singpura police (Rajasthan police).

Following the complaint the Singpura police booked Sucha under Section 366-A, 342, 376, 2 of the Indian penal Code (IPC) and also arrested him. Sucha was then sent to a Rajasthan jail.

Later, the Rajastha police informed the girl's father Kulwant Singh, who brought his daughter from Ganganagar to his native village.

The girl apprised her father about the killing of her mother.

Deputy superintendent of police, Patti, Taran Taran district, Davinder Singh said the Sarahali police (Punjab police) had registered a case against Sucha Singh, Satta, Gurpreet Singh, Punjab Singh and Rajji under Sections 302, 201,148, 149 of the Indian penal Code.
