Second group of Pak Hindu pilgrims arrives

Following sharp reactions in Pakistan after some visiting Hindu pilgrims claimed of settling in India due to atrocities across the border, a fresh batch of 104 pilgrims that arrived in India on Saturday preferred to be tightlipped on atrocities faced by minorities in Pakistan.

Crossing the border on Saturday morning, the Hindu pilgrims who have a 33-day Indian visa  termed the word spread by some visiting Hindus that they will permanently settle in India as a 'rumour'.

Gornumal of Nawab Shah in Hyderabad district said, "We in our areas face no problems. I don't know who spread the rumour that all Hindus are migrating to India."

Some who arrived on Thursday had stressed that they will not go back to Pakistan as Hindus there faced issues of forced conversion, extortions and kidnapping of girls.

Following this, there was strong reactions in Pakistan. About 118 pilgrims were stopped on the Pakistan side of the border for five hours on Friday.

They were allowed to visit India after taking an undertaking that they would come back.
