The annual fest of Jesus and Mary college (JMC) — Montage 2012 — started on a dancing note. The two day festival saw a huge participation from various Delhi colleges. The first day was quite entertaining, with events such as Mudra - the choreography competition, Stagecraft - an English stage play contest, Madrigal - battle of bands, as well as quiz and rangoli-making competitions.

The choreography contest saw the dance groups swaying to the tunes of a number of Bollywood songs. Though the boys from IIT (Delhi) stole the show by dancing in their boxers, the contest was won by Shri Ram College of Commerce.

While Madrigal — the battle of bands — was won by the band Soul’d Out, SGTB Khalsa College were the winners of the English Stage play competition. But the highlight of the day was the DJ Night, where DJ Aqeel belted out some foot tapping music for the students.

Day two saw a huge crowd at the grounds of the JMC campus, as Faridkot, a Delhi-based sufi-rock band, took to the stage in the rock night.

And the winners are...

Mudra (choreography competition)
First: Shri Ram College of Commerce
Second: Shri Guru Gobind Singh College of Commerce and IIT

Madrigal (Battle of Bands)
First: Soul’d Out

Stagecraft (English stage play)
First: SGTB Khalsa College
