The coming week will see around 2,400 exhibitors showcasing decorative products, houseware and accessories at a handicrafts fair in the city. Scheduled to start on October 15, the four-day-long Indian Handicrafts and Gifts Fair (IHGF)-Autumn 2012 is being organised by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH). The fair will take place under one roof, spread over an area of 100,000 square meters at Noida.
“About 2,400 exhibitors from 28 states will display their eco-friendly products and other items such as decorative, giftware, furniture, furnishings, kitchenware and fashion accessories,” says a representative.
Also, more than 5,000 overseas buyers from 40 countries, including the US, Australia and Germany are expected at the fair. The focus will be on eco-friendly products made out of different raw materials like wood, cane, jute and vegetable dyes. Apart from October, the IHGF is also held in the month of February under the name ‘IHGF-Spring’.
