It was a cultural extravaganza with a techie twist to it. The annual technical and cultural fest of Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology — Techsurge Mridang 2012 — saw a melange of cultural and technical events. The three day long festival began with a Kavi Sammelan (poetry recital), where poets Kumar Vishvas, Ramesh Muskan and Manvir Madhur enthralled the crowd with their compositions.
The following day saw competitive events such as western dance in the group category, a street play and a fashion parade. All the events saw participants from different colleges across the city. After a tough contest, Delhi University’s (DU’s) Maitreyi College was declared the winners of the western dance competition. The fest also featured a number of technical events.
And the winners are:
