Gallery Art & Soul, Worli is hosting Color Energies, a show by Jenny Bhatt, till January 12. The artist says, “These works were created as an exploration of colour as energy, and energy as vibration. They were created for healing, for expansion of the mind and spirit and for articulating a way of understanding the nature of existence.”

Bhatt claims she likes to think of each painting as a colour ‘yantra’ — a contemplative or meditative space, wherein the viewer has an energy exchange or vibrational interaction with it, making it a device used to induce one-pointedness, transcending the material. From a scientific viewpoint, colour is perceived due to the phenomenon of light and each colour is essentially a vibrational frequency — a form of energy.

She explains, “I also like to incorporate a contrary view — that of intuitive perception — a direct and experiential understanding of the nature creation and existence, referring to the concept of advaita — duality as contained in oneness.”
