It was an artsy evening as a group show of artworks by various artists was inaugurated by minister of culture and housing and urban poverty alleviation, Kumari Selja, and Rajeev Lochan, director of the National Gallery of Modern Art.
The exhibition, unveiled at the Alliance Francaise, is being curated by Isha Mody from Kolkata. Present at the do were French Ambassador to India Jérôme Bonnafont, director, Alliance Francaise, Myriam Kryger, artists PD Dhumal, Shamshad Husain, Yuriko Lochan and Ludmilla Chakrabarty, among others.
The display includes sculptures, limited edition prints, paintings and etchings by prominent artists such as S H Raza, Krishen Khanna, Ghulam Rasul , and many others. The cool breeze and clear skies made for the perfect setting for this high-on-creativity do.
