A vision of Buddha

Veteran photographer Sondeep Shankar presents Buddhism In India, an exhibition of works that explore how the religion lives on in 21st century India. Says Shankar, “This exhibition takes a look at the people, the art and culture of various schools of this unique philosophy and how Buddhism has grabbed the intellect and imaginations for over 2,000 years. The photography exercise is to document this living religion for posterity.” Presented by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, the exhibition is on at Azad Bhawan Gallery, Azad Bhawan, IP Estate.

Colourful residue

Art Alive Gallery presents an exhibition of paintings, installations and films in exhibition of works by artist Nandita Chaudhuri. Called Retinal Residue, the exhibition takes a closer look at all that the eye doesn’t register. On at Visual Arts Gallery, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, till January 31.
