In his eleven years of serious journalism, photographer Arijit Sen has always tried to do something unconventional. Two years back, his monotonous routine compelled him to find something that was different from his regular work. Since then, he’s been on the look out for stuff that could make people laugh.

Sen has now come up with a solo exhibition of thirteen photographs titled The Funny Side of Life. “All the pictures put up at the exhibition are from our day-to-day life. But they are humorous, sarcastic and some are even a satire on the system,” says Sen.

Sen, who works with Hindustan Times, believes that to capture such moments, one has to be alert and wait for the right moment. “Funny actions very rarely happen at an event because all the events are well planned. So, to capture such pictures, one has to look out for something before or after the event”, he adds.

The exhibition is on till July 15 at DLF Place mall, Saket
