Music, art and fashion, you’d find it all under one roof at this creative fest in the Capital. From live painting sessions to soulful music and jazz — there’s lots in store for Delhiites.

With an array of exciting events, the third edition of The Chivas Studio 2011 will be held over November 26 and 27. Celebrated Australian painter, Brian Olsen, will kickstart the do on Saturday, by showcasing his ‘Art in Action’ style. He will paint Bollywood actor Nargis Fakhri, in his unique style, using palms, elbows, brush and music.

To further pep up the experience, a one-of-its-kind Art Jam will take place, where global fusion band Mrigya will play a blend of folk, funk, jazz, Latino and Indian classical music, as Olsen paints. “We’re doing this for the first time. Our playlist will include our traditional songs and also few of our new numbers,” says Neel, a member of Mrigya. “We are very excited to see how Olsen will interpret our music on canvas,” he adds.

Swearing by its motto, Art is Life is Art, the festival will also have an art exhibition — Art Foyer — where artists such as Paresh Maity and photographer Jatin Kampani will showcase their works.

That’s not it! There’s also the Fashion Broadway titled Love... and all that Jazz, on Sunday, which will offer a mélange of Mumbai’s ’60s Jazz scene. “I have grown up in Mumbai myself and the sort of fashion and music that was popular in ’60s was just incredible.

So, why not use our own past to create something beautiful?,” says director Rohan Sippy, who has conceptualised the Fashion Broadway.

The musical ensemble will be styled by designers David Abraham and Rakesh Thakore. “I didn’t want it to be just a simple fashion event. So, we finalised Ranjit Barot for the musical score,” says Sippy. Enacting out the theme, will be Odissi dancer and actor Shahana Goswami, actors Ali Fazal and Rahul Dev.

To literally set the spirits soaring, there’s a party in the end, where mixer-juggler, Max Warner, will show the daredevilry that his cocktails are known for.
