All the world loves a lover. And who better than Krishna to remind us about it? With Janamashtmi around the corner, Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra’s epic presentation of ‘Krishna’, the blue-hued god and his escapades is a feast for the senses.
Beginning tomorrow, the hour-long presentation will begin at 6 pm every day. An additional performance will be held at 3 pm on Janamashtmi, September 2.
Which facet of Krishna will the dance drama play up? Will it be the lover or the slayer of his evil uncle Kansa? Well, it will be a mix of all this and more.
So be ready for a musical evening set to Shriram’s inimitable choreography that celebrates Krishna’s exploits of valour, his love for living for the moment and the philosophy of the Bhagvad Gita during Mahabharat. What does Krishna mean to us today? Here was a god who was intensely human, gifted with sage-like wisdom, involved yet detached. In a nutshell, lessons from Krishna’s life that reveal his facets as God, diplomat, sage and man of action.
