He has been involved in street art from the past 24 years and says graffiti has become a part of him. South African graffiti artist Falko was in Delhi to judge and perform live at Indian Institute of Technology’s annual cultural fest - Rendezvous that was held in the Capital on October 21.
On his maiden trip to India, he is quite excited to explore the city. “I am glad I came. I always wanted to come here, even as a teenager. I haven’t got much time to go around the city and check out street art, but I would love to do it for sure,” says Falko.
He draws his inspiration from popular graffiti artist Mode 2. “He is one of the most popular graffiti artists. I have always looked up to him.” Ask him about his favourite graffiti work world over, he says, “The 3D style graffiti by Daim of Germany is what I like the most. This is the work that is called ‘this is how it is done!”.
The artist also paints in oil, water and other mediums. “I do what I love to do”, he signs off.
