Daniel Radcliffe had a bit of a tough time filming his first Harry Potter kiss, for the entire crew wanted to see him lock lips with on-screen lady love Cho Chang.

Radcliffe locks lips for the first time as Harry Potter in the forthcoming movie Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and director David Yates revealed that the entire crew wanted to share that special occasion.

As for why the crew was so eager to see Radcliffe kiss Katie Leung, well that’s because he’s literally grown up in front of them.

"You have to understand some of these people have been working with Dan since he was so high," Contactmusic quoted him, as saying.

"They needed to experience it because Dan was really a son to them; they've seen him go through all these changes as he's grown up," Yates said.

The director also added that he was a bit taken aback when he saw that some of the crew ‘got quite emotional’ watching Radcliffe lock lips with Leung.

"They got quite emotional watching this first kiss, which was interesting to observe," he added.

The fifth Harry Potter film is due to open in theatres on 11 July.
