With only two months left for Diwali, learn how to make candles at one of these classes in the Capital and give the festivities a unique touch.
This institute provides individual classes on candle-making, which are three hours long. They also teach the hurricane technique (of using images in candles), aromatherapy candles and even candle decoration. The material for making candles is provided by the institute. They currently have 20 students enrolled with them. In a one month course, there are a total of 15 classes for the students.

Kamlesh’s Art and Craft
This 11-year-old institute not only teaches the traditional candle-making process, but also how to make aromatherapy candles, gel candles and other techniques of hand-crafting. The classes are three hours long and are held on weekends. About 30 designs for making candles are taught in two days. Currently, the institute has five students in each of their three batches. They also conduct private tuitions.

Started 15 years ago, this institute provides students theoretical knowledge of candle-making. The classes run for four hours on alternate days and over 500 designs of candles are taught in a one month course. Every month, a guest lecturer is invited to give practical classes to the students.

Chhabra Hobby Classes
This institute offers two types of courses — a professional course, which teaches 20 designs, and a leisure course, which teaches eight designs. The classes are held in batches of four students on alternate days and are about an hour long. The institute also organises various competitions and candle-making contests for students.

Kraftivity The Art To Create
Three types of workshops are held here, the shortest of which is two days long and is aimed at teaching students 20 different designs of candles. Another workshop focuses on hurricane candle-making, which is the art of using images of people (or places) on candles. The third workshop teaches carving and creating designs with wax. The classes last for three hours and each batch has six students. The institute also provides study material.
