A three-kilometre-long painting will be created to mark the 30th victory anniversary of the 1979 Islamic revolution, IRNA news agency reported.

The long painting will feature different subjects of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

The Director General of Culture and Islamic Guidance Ministry's Office for Visual Arts, Mahmoud Shalouei, said that the painting measuring three kilometres in length will be created around the Museum of Contemporary Arts.

The work is to be painted by some 1,000 artists under the supervision of veteran Iranian painters, he said.

The unique work will feature different scenes such as public demonstrations, the public uprising against the deposed Shah regime, the Iraq-imposed war and nuclear technology.
