Art as enigma

Award-winning artist Hemi Bawa is out with her latest show, a composition of 30 art works - sculpture and mixed media. Bawa's art is considered a reflection of her personality - 'mysterious and quiet' as some critics call her. Her emphasis is on the celebration of colour and form. The artist also loves to work with glass, given its flexibility. Bawa was conferred the Padma Shri in 2009 for her contribution to various spheres of art. The new show titled 'Hemi Bawa 2012' is presented by Artspeaks India, and is a collateral event of India Art Fair 2012 that starts this Wednesday.
