The fest season has already begun, and like each year, every fest in Delhi University (DU) has something new for students. From celebrity gigs to inter college competitions and DJ nights, the spirit of masti has set in across the varsity. However, the fest dates of many colleges are clashing this year too. So, here we give you a glimpse of some of the most happening fests of DU. Take your pick as you go fest-hopping.
Ullas: Kamala Nehru College
The most sought after event of the fest is Glitz — a contest by the fashion society of the college. The fest will see a performance by pop and hip-hop band, Bombay Rockers. The other events to watch out for include Adagio — the choreography competition and the Battle of Bands. The two-day festival will also be packed with other competitive events such as Rhythm ‘n’ Blues (western music), Ol’ That Jazz (western dance) and Crossfire (English debate) among

Reverie : Gargi College for Women
One of the most popular college fests of the South Campus, the annual fest of this all-girls’ college will see Bollywood singer Kailash Kher croon his popular numbers, this year. On the concluding day of the three-day festival, Indian rock band Parikrama will take the stage. Other events at the campus include a street play and a western dance competition, apart from the DJ night. Last year, Bollywood singer Mohit Chauhan, and Sufi singer duo Nizami Brothers performed at the college’s fest.

Mecca: Hindu College
Living up to its name, the fest of this college that boasts of a star-studded alumni such as filmmaker Imtiaz Ali and actor Arjun Rampal, is indeed the Mecca of fest-hoppers.
And this year, it promises to double the fun with not one but two celeb performances. Though the names are yet to be revealed, the college union says that popular singers from Bollywood are expected to perform. Speculations are rife that Punjabi rock trio — RDB may perform on one of the days.

Crossroads: Shri Ram College of Commerce
Always in news for its celebrity performers, The Raghu Dixit Project, and Shankar Ehsaan Loy have earlier performed at Crossroads. The tentative stars expected at their
four-day extravaganza include Bollywood singers KK and Sonu Nigam. A member of the students union reveals that if the dates suit, both of them may be seen performing at the fest. Also, to watch out for are the various competitive events, which see participation in large numbers from various colleges of the varsity.

Montage: Jesus and Mary College
This time a national level debating competition will be held during the fest. The Students Union promises to make it the biggest edition of Montage so far. Though the celebrity performer at the fest is yet to be decided; the fest will see other fun events such as paintball, food eating competition and T-shirt painting competition among others.
