Actor Shah Rukh Khan’s IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders may have Bollywood stars and glamour on its side with actors such as Priyanka Chopra and Arjun Rampal endorsing it, but lady luck is with other teams, say astrologers and tarot card readers.

Astrologer Vikram Mehta says, “According to me, MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar have very strong planetary positions and Chennai Superkings or Mumbai Indians will win the IPL. Kolkata Knight Riders have the least chance of winning, because Shah Rukh has a very strong shani right now, and so the team is unable to perform well.”

Mr Izo, an astrologer on Twitter, predicts, “Mumbai Indians are a safe bet to win IPL 4. Before IPL started, I favoured KKR as SRK is in his 46th year. No doubt he is getting the benefits as KKR was at the top for long. But Sachin entering his 39th year completely changed the ball game as he entered his year of destiny, which is stronger than SRK and Gambhir’s numbers.”

But tarot card reader Seema Midha says that all is not lost. “Kolkata Knight Riders are focused on winning and that may help them. Right now Royal Challengers Bangalore’s chances are the most bleak because something looks wrong in their team distribution and collaboration. Punters are also using alternate science to place bets on teams. Numerologist Lok Deepak Bakshi says, “I have stopped doing predictions because people start misusing it. When they get to know that my predictions are correct, they ask me and bet on matches based on these predictions,” he says.

Who’s Hot On The Betting Block
The astro predictions are also showing in betting, or ‘satta’ trends across the Capital. While Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are not getting any buyers, Mumbai Indians are the bookies’ favourites, with winning odds of of 11/2. Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Superkings come a close second. Shah Rukh’s KKR is least likely to win, with odds of 7/1.
