How well do you know your global architectural landmarks? Italian illustrator Federico Babina, known for his projects exploring the link between art and architecture, has released a new artistic series of prints which zooms in on some of the world's most iconic buildings.

"Archizoom" depicts the buildings by focusing in on their distinguishing details, presenting each structure as a tongue-in-cheek movie poster. Comprising 23 different images, the series covers the work of world-famous architects such as Rem Koolhaas, Zaha Hadid and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.

"As with a zoom lens of a camera I approached some architectural works in order to depict a detail or some small elements," explains Babina. "As in a cinematic close-up that allows you to emphasize what is off-field frame.

"The idea came [from] seeing an image of an actor's eyes. This shooting range is sometimes more powerful than a face or a whole body, and it is able to tell intense emotions and allows us to recognize the protagonist. I wanted to do the same with some emblematic architectural works."

Archizoom prints are available from Babina's online store from $24.96.
