Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav said the Narendra Modi-led government should tell the country how much black money was recovered after the demonetisation move.

Here are highlights of his interview with Hindustan Times:

*UP has never been as progressive as today. I request all youngsters to choose the cycle: Dimple

*On being asked if youth can compensate for experience, Akhilesh lists out his achievements including building of the Yamuna expressway and says he learnt to ride the cycle and is learning from more experience

*I believe the BJP is worried by the Congress-SP alliance.

*No plan to campaign together so far. The party will decide: Dimple Yadav on being asked if she’ll campaign with Akhilesh, Rahul.

*The Samajwadi Party has worked in a big way for infrastructure.

*50 districts in UP have been joined by four lanes. I wish to take the same highway till Ghazipur.

*Youth is sensible. They know which way to take UP. Akhilesh Yadav is a progressive leader: Dimple Yadav

*Made sure Expressway was made in record time. For digital India, what has BJP done in UP?

*Money is not black or white. It depends on the transactions, encourage people to stop corruption

*The government should tell the country how much black money was recovered (after demonetisation).
