India's vernacular cinema gets international stardom

A Chinese actor would debut in an Indian vernacular cinema. Chinese female actor Zhang Shu Min would act opposite popular Malayalam actor Srinivasan in lead roles in Arabikatha (Arabic Tales). Zhang, who is from Beijing, had been working in a marketing company in Dubai, where she met the director of the film, Lal Jose, who offered her a role in the film.
