After Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar in 2011 which marked Bollywood’s return to Kashmir, film makers are making a beeline for the paradise on earth that remained a favourite destination for film makers for many decades. Just few days ago a South Indian film maker was seen shooting at the Dal lake, Srinagar and these days noted choreographer Saroj Khan is shooting a dance sequence in the Tulip gardens of Kashmir.

<P>Gurunath Meiyappan, the son-in-law of BCCI chief N Srinivasan arrived in Mumbai to face interrogation, in connection with the IPL spot-fixing scandal. Meiyappan was escorted out of Mumbai airport by the police. He is being taken to Crawford Market police station where he will be confronted with actor Vindoo Dara Singh, who has reportedly said that he used to bet on games on Meiyappans behalf. He will be questioned about betting and spot-fixing. According to reports, the police will question Meiyappan on whether he has been passing information. Earlier in the day, India Cements, the owner of the Chennai Super Kings had issued a statement clarifying that Gurunath Meiyappan is only an honorary member of CSK, not owner. </P> <P> </P>

<P>Gurunath Meiyappan, CEO of Chennai Super Kings is on his way to Mumbai to appear for questioning in the IPL spot-fixing scandal on Friday on the advice of his lawyers. Meiyappan was issued with summons to appear before the Mumbai crime branch on Friday for interrogation between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. According to reports, Meiyappan is involved in IPL betting since 2011. Earlier in the day, IPL chief Rajiv Shukla and BCCI vice-president, Arun Jaitley met Indias law minister, requesting him to chart out a strong law against fixing and betting. Sports minister Jitendra Singh, while speaking to media persons in New Delhi said that the ongoing scam has shamed the country.</P> <P><BR> </P>

Nominally, the CBI is independent apart from the administrative control of the Department of Personnel and Training, which falls under the prime ministers office.
