A senior commander of Pakistani militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) has said that Mohammad Ajmal Amir Kasab, who was executed in India today for his role in the 2008 Mumbai attacks, was a "hero" who will inspire more attacks. "He was a hero and will inspire other fighters to follow his path," Reuters quoted the commander of the LeT, which is accused of masterminding the attack, as saying. Kasab, the lone surviving attacker behind the attacks, was hanged in Pune's Yerwada prison at 7:30 am today after President Pranab Mukherjee rejected his appeal for mercy.
