The two Italian marines charged with the murder of two Indian fishermen, have arrived in New Delhi after the apex court ordered for the formation of a special court to try them. Both the marines arrived in New Delhi at around 11.30 pm (local time) along with other members of the Italian embassy and would be staying there till the proceedings of the special court lasts. On Friday, the Supreme Court had given a verdict that Kerala courts don't have the authority to adjudicate the Italian marines case and a special federal court needs to be set up to try them. The sailors were members of a military security team protecting a cargo ship, Enrica Lexie, who reportedly mistook the fishermen for pirates, off the Kerala coast.
