CMO abduction case: UP minister Vinod Kumar resigns

Under fire for allegedly abducting the chief medical officer of Gonda, Uttar Pradesh minister of state for revenue and Rehabilitation Vinod Kumar Singh resigned on Friday. Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav advised his ministers to conduct themselves better in the wake of the resignation of Singh. Addressing a gathering in Lucknow, Yadav said that if accusations were levelled against any minister it would lower the credibility of the government. Reacting on the resignation, BSP leader Sudhindra Bhadoria in New Delhi demanded Singh's arrest.
