French President calls for improved partnership with India

French President Francois Hollande, who is on a two-day state visit to India, was today given a ceremonial reception at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi. He was received by President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. He inspected the guard of honour and also met members of the Cabinet. The visiting President said that it is a great honour for him to visit India and thanked his Indian counterpart for extending a warm welcome to him. Hollande is accompanied by France's First Lady Valerie Trierweiller, a high-level delegation including several key ministers of his Cabinet, senior officials, business-persons and media.
