A mini-truck that police believe was loaded with explosives hit a paramilitary office in Karachi, Pakistan, killing at least one person and injuring 14 others. Authorities said that fire engines and ambulances were sent to the scene as quickly as possible. The injured were sent to a nearby hospital. Paramilitary official Mohammad Anwer who was wounded in the blast, described what happened. There has been no claim of responsibility but Taliban militants are known to operate inside the city.
The Taliban is blamed for many of the suicide bombings across Pakistan, a strategic U.S. ally.
