There's nothing new in lying about ones background in tinsel town. Katrina Kaif apparently lied about her name and Kashmiri origin. Ayesha Shroff, in a recent interview revealed that Katrina's real surname is not Kaif but Torquett. Hers is not a solitary case. There've been many leading ladies who've pretended and gotten away with this pretence.
