South Korea-based S&T Motors with its local partner Pune-based DSK Motowheels launched two 650-cc Hyosung motorcycles in Mumbai on Wednesday.

The two new bikes, Aquila Pro and GT650R, are priced at Rs. 4.99 lakh and Rs. 4.79 lakh respectively (ex-showroom Delhi).

DSK aims to sell 300 units of these bikes claiming maximum power of 9,000 RPM and top speed of 195 km per hour through its 21 dealerships across India.

DSK, which bought Garware Motors' auto business for a little over Rs. 100 crore in July 2012, is currently selling Hyosung's GT250R, GT650N, and ST7 and expects the total sales to touch 1,000 units by March. It has sold 786 units so far this year.

DSK, which assembles Hyosung bikes at its Pune facility, is set to build a new plant in satara at a cost Rs. 300 crore.

Iconic manufacturers such as Harley Davidson and UK-based Triumph have set shop in India.
