Q
Hello, I want to buy a petrol hatchback. Budget Rs. 5.5 lakhs. Shortlist: Figo, Swift, Ritz, Brio. Can be considered: Etios Liva and Sail UVA; lastly i10. Parameters: safety, cost of ownership, mileage and after sales service; space (cabin and boot). Other factors: resale value, cost of spares, sturdiness. Primary use city driving. Kindly suggest which car should I select with the rationale. Many thanks!

Best all round car is Swift. But if space is a criteria, then Figo has a good boot. But the best car to drive, most fun factor, then it has to be the Brio. I would rate it the best petrol hatchback in the market today, if boot is not a criteria, which city driving does not need.

Well for safety..nothing beats a SKODA Fabia. Cost of ownershp is decent. Cabin space and build is very good. Boot space is 315 litres , the same as dzire. The car is very well built and has the best suspension. Mileage in city is 11-13. Test drive the car once . you sure wont regret it.
