Bajaj Discover DTS-Si, the new offering in the 100 cc segment from Bajaj Auto, has sold a record 1 lakh units in the first 50-days of its launch.
This is possibly a new volume benchmark for any bike launched in this country, the company said in a press release
issued in Mumbai on Monday.
"The record selling can be attributed to the positive word-of-mouth from customers and the favourable reviews and
accolades from industry experts," Bajaj Auto CEO (2-Wheelers) S Sridhar, said.
The company has ramped up production to 80,000 with the help of its Pantnagar capacity to meet the overwhelming demand during the festive season, the release said.
This super-fuel-efficient bike gives an on-road mileage of 80 km/litre, the release said.
