German luxury carmaker BMW on Thursday announced raising prices of its product , including the Minis, in India by around 2% from April 1.
“In today’s economic conditions, to maintain our exceptional brand positioning and continue offering a distinct value proposition to our premium clientele, we have decided to marginally revise the prices of the BMW and MINI product portfolio,” BMW Group India president Vikram Pawah said in a statement.
The company has been in the forefront of introducing innovative products, building world-class dealerships and offering services ahead of its time, he added.
At present, BMW sells 1 series hatchbacks, 3, 5, and 7 Series luxury sedans, M series sports sedans and coupes, and SUVs X1, X3, X5 . The company also sells models under the Mini and Rolls-Royce brands.
