Nissan's budget brand, Datsun, had revealed its first model, the Go hatchback in July this year and since, the car's only been seen in photos and videos.
Now, for the first time, the car will be displayed in more than 90 cities across the country as a part of Datsun's pan-India road show. The ‘Datsun Go Roadshow’ kicked off on 14th December, 2014 in Mumbai, Chennai and New Delhi and will eventually spread across other major cities in India.
With an expected price-tag of under Rs. 4 lakh, the Datsun Go will compete in the entry-level hatchback segment. Its target audience primarily comprises first-time car buyers residing across Tier I and Tier II cities. The pan-India roadshow will help Datsun take the Go hatchback closer to its customer base before its launch, thereby generating interest among prospective buyers. And it will also help the carmaker gauge public response across cities and get feedback from prospective buyers.
