Fiat targets 100 dealerships by end-2013

Fiat Group Automobiles India Pvt Ltd inaugurated its fifth exclusive sales outlet in Noida in January, 2013. The company is in the process of setting up 70 dealerships in the first quarter and a total of 100 by the end of the year. The newest dealership, Kashyap Fiat, is spread across an area of 4,000 sq ft and also has a service outlet on the same premises.

Enrico Atanasio, managing director of FIAT Group Automobiles India, said, "As of now, we have signed 61 letters of intent with entrepreneurs who will be setting up the dealer network."

The company is currently focused on Tier I cities for its new dealership network, with all joint dealerships with Tata winding up operations and switching to either brand. Joint service networks however, will continue till the end of the year, till Fiat is able to set up the service outlets.
