Our sources confirm that the two-wheeler giant is dispatching the 2014 versions of the Karizma R, Karizma ZMR and the Extreme across Indian dealerships. The first lot of these motorcycles will reach showrooms in the coming two-three weeks, with the company set to declare their prices around the same time.
Hero to launch new Karizma R, ZMR and Extreme
The new Karizma R and ZMR feature twin headlights, a bulb winker, reworked body panels, a belly pan, clip-on handlebars, redesigned split-seats, a new exhaust end-canister and wider tyres.
Hero’s 150cc premium commuter segment Xtreme motorcycle gets an electronic immobiliser which prevents the engine from starting in the event the wrong key is inserted in the ignition. Along with new instruments, a restyled headlight, fuel tank, LED tail-light and mobile charger point, this 150cc bike also comes with a side-stand switch that shuts the engine off in case the side stand is out while riding or starting the engine.
These motorcycles will continue to be powered by the same engines installed in the current variants, but with minor tweaks.
