Mercedes is in the process of giving its GL-class SUV range an update. The updated model is expected next year in international markets.
Mercedes working on GL-class facelift
The facelifted car is expected to get a new fascia. This includes a tweaked bumper and front grille and some changes to the lamp assemblies. This will help it share the same design language as the current models in the Merc portfolio.
The updates will encompass the GL 350, GL 450, GL 550 and GL 63 AMG. The engine line-up is expected to be retained. It will include the 3.0-litre V6 diesel, the 4.6-litre V6, the 4.6-litre Biturbo V8 in its two versions and the biggest 5.5-litre Biturbo V8.
The GL-class was launched in international markets in 2012. This is likely to be an update before the next-gen model that is expected in 2017. The facelifted Mercedes GL-class is likely to be shown at the Paris motor show in October 2014.
