Suzuki Motorcycle India has announced two new models close on the heels of the recently launched Inazuma in the 250cc segment – the Gixxer and the Let's.
The Gixxer gets contemporary design cues that look sharp and aggressive, and are likely to be well received. The bike will be available in five colours. It packs in a 150cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, four-stroke engine, specifications of which are not yet revealed. Comfort is taken care of by a telescopic front suspension, with a monoshock making its way at the rear.
The Let's scooter is designed for the young, with a few design cues carried from its 125cc scooter offerings, but is slimmer for convenient use in the city. Let's is available in five colours – the Pearl Mira red, Metallic Triton blue, Pearl Mirage white, Sparkle black and Metallic Sonic silver.
The scooter is powered by a 110cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 8.7bhp of power with 0.91kgm of torque, propelling the rear wheel through a CVT gearbox. The front gets a telescopic suspension while the rear comes with oil-damped coil spring suspension.
Both models come in with Suzuki's own 'Suzuki Eco Performance' system that enhances their overall fuel economy. The price for the Let’s will be announced at the Auto Expo 2014 in Delhi and it will go on sale next month. The Gixxer, the prices for which will be announced in May, is expected to go on sale in July.
