TVS Motor Company’s Jive is a modern commuter bike which is also a clutch-less motorcycle. It follows a black theme for its front forks, smart alloy wheels, engine, silencer, rear suspension and matt-finish grab rail.

The Jive comes with a 109.7cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke and air-cooled engine. Engine refinement is acceptable with vibrations at bay, except when pushing high engine revs. While upshifting through the T-Matic gearbox is smooth, it carries a slightly heavy feel.
The Jive proved capable of 53.4 kpl in the city and 55.2 kpl on a highway — both within the efficient zone for this segment of motorcycle.

Verdict
The Jive is smartly styled. Its 109.7cc engine gamely hauls you along without hurting your pocket. Clutch-less gearshifts are undoubtedly a brilliant move for India, with the Jive’s T-Matic transmission capable of eliminating much rider stress. Ride quality and handling are all good on the Jive, with the only fly in the ointment being its lacklustre tyres. Overall, the Jive is just what the doctor ordered for Indian commuters. With a price tag of Rs 41,000 (ex-showroom, India), this is an offer that’s hard to refuse.
