Kinetic Motor Company (KMC), makers of yesteryear's Kinetic Honda, have launched the Flyte, a 125-cc scooterette.
Priced at Rs 36,837, ex-Mumbai, the product would be targeted at the 'confident and independent woman', a rapidly growing class of buyers, said Sulajja Firodia Motwani, managing director, KMC.
The scooter can be filled without getting down or removing the seat. It has a fitment for a mobile charger, a central locking mechanism and an anti-theft magnetic key. It also has a motorcycle-type telescopic suspension, a powerful battery and a large, well-cooled engine.
The Flyte comes from the stable of SYM, the Taiwan-based $1.1 billion (Rs crore) automotive group. It is the new-look KMC's second product in the scooter segment in as many years, after the Italiano Blaze. KMC has a tie-up with SYM, announced in 2006-07.
This is KMC's first product to use the services of a brand ambassador. KMC is associating Bipasha Basu, Bollywood actress, to promote the brand.
