At the Geneva Motor Show this March, the Swedish car manufacturer known for its exceptional vehicles will unveil a new megacar, the Regera, as well as the Agera RS supercar.
Koenigsegg is teasing the Regera (Swedish for "reign"), a vehicle described as a luxury hybrid megacar. Coined by the Swedish brand, the term megacar refers to a vehicle with over one megawatt of power (1,000 kilowatts), which is equivalent to around 1,341hp. The idea is that the model is even more extraordinary than a supercar or hypercar thanks to its hybrid powertrain.
Among its purely performance-focused models, Koenigsegg is also set to present the Agera RS, the new flagship of the Agera range. No details have been revealed regarding the new model, but its predecessor the Agera R has a top speed of nearly 440km/h and 0 to 300km/h acceleration in less than 15 seconds.
The Geneva Motor Show opens its doors to the press on March 3 and to the public on March 5.
