Mahindra & Mahindra on Tuesday announced an expansion of its top team managing its auto business. The tractors-to-travels conglomerate, has been expanding its car and bus-truck businesses through a string of strategic acquisitions and tie-ups.
Under the new structure, Rajesh Jejurikar, Louis Pereira, and Rajan Wadhera will be heads of strategic business units at M&M’s automotive sector, headed by Pawan Goenka.
Louis Pereira, senior vice president of the central manufacturing engineering, has been promoted to CEO of Mahindra Automotive Ltd, and will oversee the development of the Chakan plant.
Rajesh Jejurikar, executive vice president of M&M’s automotive sector, will assume duties as chief of operations. In addition to his current sales & marketing function, he will also oversee manufacturing at M&M’s plants. As executive vice-president, he was responsible for sales, service and brand management.
Rajan Wadhera, head of R&D and global product development of M&M, automotive sector has been promoted to chief of engineering and development. Wadhera has earlier headed manufacturing operations, quality and plant engineering and procurement at M&M Automotive.
