The Mahindra group, which has introduced company owned multi-brand car workshop in the country, is eyeing to expand fast in the Rs 12,000 crore car servicing market in the country, a top company official said.
Speaking to reporters on occasion of launching the 16th workshop of Mahindra First Choice Services (MFCS) workshop here, Rajeev Dubey, Member of Executive board of Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd, said the company aims to expand by opening 500 such outlets by 2018.
MFCS, a wholly owned subsidiary of M & M, is a chain of multi-brand car workshops across major cities in the country and provides sales, service, spare, financial instruments after
'Nearly 60 per cent of car service market is handled by road side workshops, while remaining is company dealer based. The third segment of multi-brand workshops owned by companies are popular in the west and we eye to garner Rs 1000 crore market share from this segment by 2018, he said.
