Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) started rolling the Vitara Brezza out of its regular dealerships across India from March 25, 2016. The prices start at Rs 6.99 lakh for the base variant and costs Rs 9.68 lakh for top trim.

The compact sports utility vehicle (SUV) was unveiled at the Delhi Auto Expo on March 3, 2016 and became a major attraction for the MSI underscoring the Transformotion philosophy.

Since Maruti Suzuki announced the prices of Brezza on March 8, around 70,000 enquiries and over 20,000 bookings have been registered since then, according to a statement issued by the auto maker.

MSI also said the compact SUV will be retailed from the company’s over 1,800 sales outlets spread across India.

The Brezza comes in seven variants and nine colour options, including three flamboyant dual-tone trims. The compact SUV is powered by a 1.3 litre 200 DDiS engine that delivers a 89PS power and 200 Nm torque. The ARAI has claimed the mileage of the car to be around 24.3kmpl.

It challenges the Ford EcoSport and the Mahindra TUV300 in the segment.
