Continuing its foray of premium sportscars segment in India, German luxury car maker Mercedes-Benz on Tuesday launched the AMG GT S in the performance car segment priced at Rs 2.4 crore (ex-showroom Delhi).
Sports racing icon Bernd Schneider unveiled the car, powered by a 4-litre bi-turbo engine. This is the company’s 14th rollout of the 15 new products promised in 2015.
“The launch of the AMG GT S is the finest example of our top-of-pyramid approach for the Indian market as we are presenting the most acclaimed product from our global portfolio,” Mercedes-Benz India MD and CEO Roland Folger told reporters here.
With the AMG GT S, the company has yet “another winning product” for India, he claimed. The car comes with various features, including adaptive brake lights, composite braking system, automatic child seat recognition and eight airbags.
Mercedes-Benz currently sells ten AMG products in the country.
